Sports Fields

We are pleased to be able to advise you that we are working towards recommencing outdoor sports bookings from Monday 18 October 2021.

From this date Council will accept bookings for sports training only up to 20 participants.

It’s important to note the 20-person group limit is inclusive of children and adults, coaches, support staff and spectators/parents.

Community Sport is not permitted under the new Public Health Order until NSW reaches 80% double vaccinated. Until the Public Health Order is updated to reflect this, matches, games and training with other teams is not permitted.

Prior to recommencing your activities hirers must comply with the new Public Health Orders.

This includes:

  • Submitting a new COVID-19 Safety Plan - implementing measures to keep staff and participants safe reducing the risk of closure or need for staff isolation.
  • Registering as a COVID-19 Safe business - mandatory electronic check-in or an alternate sign-in method at your premises.
  • Use of Service NSW QR codes, checking of staff vaccination status and only accepting valid forms of evidence of vaccination.
  • Taking reasonable measures to stop unvaccinated people entering our facilities.

Details of the new restrictions can be found on NSW Government link below:

COVID Safety Measures

Council have completed safety assessments of our venues to ensure they are COVID safe and fit for community hire. Hirers are required to prepare and implement appropriate measures to ensure their staff and volunteers are aware of information on COVID-19, including when to get tested, physical distancing and cleaning, and how to manage a sick visitor.

The process of developing your own COVID-19 Safety Plan will assist groups organisers to effective plan their bookings to ensure they are COVID-19 Safe.

Hirers are recommended to address the matters in the COVID-19 safety checklist as approved by the Chief Health Officer and published on the New Health website when completing their plans.

Council is not the approving authority for COVID-19 Safety plans, and we are not the relevant authority to provide training on health-related matters.

Information required by the hirers can be found on the NSW Health website. Further links are below for each specific section.

Hirers are required to keep a copy of the COVID-19 Safety Plan and make it available for inspection by an authorised officer as requested. Any fines resulting from a breach of Public Health Orders will be the responsibility of the hirer.
