Sunshine Singers
The Sunshine Singers are a choir for the over 50’s community who meet for two hours every Monday morning in the High Tide Room at Bondi Pavilion. This community music program provides a platform for people to get together, socialise and sing in a safe and friendly environment. Running for over a decade, the group is cherished by its members as a place to connect and sing. The group perform in aged care centres and at Waverley Council events such as Classic Hits Concerts, Waverley Library gatherings, Make Music Day and Carols By The Sea. During the COVID 19 lockdowns the group successfully transitioned to online meetings (via Zoom) where the connection was a vital aspect of maintaining community wellbeing. In 2020 the Sunshine Singers were featured on ABC TVs The Recording Studio and in the SMH article A force for good: how the coronavirus crisis is sweetening our collective tune. In 2023, the Sunshine Singers continue to meet both online and in the newly refurbished High Tide Room.
Time: Mondays 10am-12noon (not including school or public holidays)
Location: High Tide Room
