Talk: How to avoid the medical bill rip off with Dr Margaret Faux
Ever wondered why Medicare rebates keep going up - but your medical bills do too? Or why private health insurance doesn't protect you from huge hospital costs?
This book tells you what no one else will: the truth about how the system really works, where your money goes and how to avoid being ripped off.
You'll learn how to:
- Get every cent you're entitled to from Medicare and private health insurance.
- Access free and low-cost care, 24/7.
- Use new care pathways and make the most of your My Health Record.
- Read and question your medical bills like a pro.
- Choose the right private health insurance - if you need it at all.
- Avoid hidden fees and big out-of-pocket surprises.
- Understand your rights in public hospitals.
In this session, Dr Faux will guide you while you use your apps in real time to discover the best ways to save money and ensure you receive great healthcare and all your legitimate entitlements.
Dr Faux will be selling her copies of her book How to avoid the medical bill rip off! on the day.
