Since 1986, the Waverley Art Prize has celebrated excellence in painting and drawing, supporting artists and delighting audiences.

Celebrating 40 years of the Waverley Art Prize, this vibrant exhibition brings together a selection of winning works from one of New South Wales’ most long-standing art prizes.

Pilates is a low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen and stretch the whole body with particular emphasis on postural alignment, core conditioning and breathing.

Enjoy a special nature-based story time and play session, designed for children of walking age and older (siblings are also welcome).

We’ve planted this event in the middle of science week at our favourite outdoor venue, where you’ll discover adoptable stick-insects, flora and fauna inspired intentional play, and have the opportunity to connect with other carers, families and friends.

This event encourages curiosity, creativity, and a connection with country, and is made possible with the support of Bondi Beach Playgroups, Waverley Council and Waverley Library.

Swing into our Jungle Storytime and Play! We'll be sharing jungle-themed stories, creating fun animal crafts and exploring through play as we discover creatures from the jungle.

This program is perfect for children aged 3 - 5 years of age, their families, and friends. Please note, Parents/caregivers must stay with their child for the duration of this event.

Story Time Fun will capture the imaginations of toddlers and pre-schoolers with stories, rhymes and craft.

Collage is made up of magazine and newspaper clippings, discarded books, packaging, coloured or handmade papers, portions of other artworks or texts, photographs and found objects.

Each week we pick a theme or style of contemporary collage. The classes are informal and relaxed, and no experience is necessary. Just bring you creativity. The class is lead by an experienced collagist.

Queer Cinema is a movie night dedicated to celebrating queer stories of love, loss, joy and history.

Every month we will be screening a film with drinks and snacks provided. Bring your chosen family and enjoy this special night!

The physical location of the Cemetery on the cliffs above Bronte is a magnificent background and setting. Unfortunately the topography is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties. The tours which last 90 minutes are conducted by volunteers who are members of the Friends of Waverley Cemeteries.
