Celebrating 40 years of the Waverley Art Prize, this vibrant exhibition brings together a selection of winning works from one of New South Wales’ most long-standing art prizes.

Pilates is a low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen and stretch the whole body with particular emphasis on postural alignment, core conditioning and breathing.

Join us at Baby Sensory & Play which brings together stories, songs, movement and gentle play, with a focus on early development.

Babies will explore a range of sensory experiences including tactile play, visual stimulation, and music, all in a calm and welcoming environment. We'll take time to celebrate milestones and support connection between caregivers and their babies.

The session will finish with free play, giving families a chance to meet and connect with each other.

To ensure the safety of all participants, this session is designed for pre-walkers, aged 0-10 months.

We created Strength and Stretch to support beginners to build strength with confidence, to support the life they want to live.

Join us for a series of informal drawing sessions based in and around Waverley Library. Practice mindful sketching techniques with other amateur creatives in the community and discover gesture, mark making and observational skills.

Grief is a universal yet deeply personal experience that touches us all. In this informative session, we will explore the nature of grief and loss, along with the emotional, physical, and psychological impacts of bereavement.

This presentation offers insight into common experiences of grief, as well as practical guidance and strategies to support yourself and others through loss. It is suitable for anyone wanting to better understand and navigate grief in everyday life.

Book Babies introduces your babes in arms to the magic and joy of stories and rhymes

Rocking Rhyme Time is a high energy morning of dancing, music, rhymes and stories.

Story Time Fun will capture the imaginations of toddlers and pre-schoolers with stories, rhymes and craft.

Collage is made up of magazine and newspaper clippings, discarded books, packaging, coloured or handmade papers, portions of other artworks or texts, photographs and found objects.

Each week we pick a theme or style of contemporary collage. The classes are informal and relaxed, and no experience is necessary. Just bring you creativity. The class is lead by an experienced collagist.

Join us for hands-on learning, creativity, and an exploration of different STEAM topics. Bring your curiosity and enjoy a diverse program of activities suited to many different interests. Everyone is welcome but this program is designed for primary school students, and parents are asked to stay with the child for the duration of the activity.

Interested in trying an alternative art form? Then join us for Art After Dark, an informal event that focuses on a different art practice each month.

The sessions are self guided, with a library staff member by your side to go through the steps. If you are artistically inclined and like to try new things then Art After Dark is perfect for you.

Award-winning contemporary company Dance Makers Collective, led by choreographer Miranda Wheen, invites a brilliant cast of artists - representing dance in all its forms - to take to the floor in this immersive experience.

The physical location of the Cemetery on the cliffs above Bronte is a magnificent background and setting. Unfortunately the topography is not suitable for people with mobility difficulties. The tours which last 90 minutes are conducted by volunteers who are members of the Friends of Waverley Cemeteries.

ARTEXPRESS is an annual showcase of outstanding artworks submitted by students across NSW for the HSC Visual Arts examination.

Looking for fun indoor games this Winter? Head to the library to escape the cold every Sunday in July and August with a huge range of tabletop gaming to play. Meet fellow gamers and get competitive or work together for a glorious victory. Total newbies and seasoned players are all welcome to attend this relaxed and fun session.

Games will be provided for all ages. This event will not be facilitated by staff, parents/carers must stay with children for the duration of the event.

The session will run all day from 10am - 4pm drop in anytime between these hours.
