Even though much of Waverley’s bushland and wildlife has been lost to intensive development, thousands of people continue to enjoy our magnificent rocky coastlines and beaches. The preservation of our precious little remnant bushland is central to maintaining our interaction with the natural environment and its effect on our health and well being. Global climate change is causing more frequent and extreme weather events, loss of wildlife and economic impacts. Waverley Council is committed to action to respond and manage these risks and protect our environment and community for future generations.

Herbicide application
Waverley Council conducts herbicide application to treat Bindii and Broadleaf weeds in turf twice a year, typically in the months of June and September.
