Tamarama Park

Tamarama Beach Park is one of Waverley’s most significant beach reserves. With a food and beverage kiosk, barbecue facilities, sheltered picnic areas and an amenity building, the park is a popular destination and fantastic place to stop along the Bondi to Coogee or Bronte coastal walk.

The children’s playground is situated to at the back of the park towards Tamarama Gully.

Play equipment: Yes.

Sporting facilities: Fitness station and designated beach volleyball area.

Barbecue facilities: Yes.

Food & beverage facilities: Tamarama Beach Kiosk.

Toilets: Park toilets open between 9.30am and 8pm. Refer to toiletmap.gov.au.

Parking: Use public transport. Limited on-street parking.

Pets: Limited on-leash areas (see map below).

Events & Hire

Maximum group of 50 for informal gatherings e.g. family picnic.

For formal gatherings (e.g. wedding), corporate activations, larger groups, or filming/photography, refer Venue Hire options.

Prohibitions

  • Alcohol prohibited area.
  • Ball games prohibited (except beach volleyball subject to Council guidelines).
  • Bicycles and skateboards prohibited.
  • Dogs prohibited in park and on beach but permitted on-leash on the coastal walk and Bronte Gully.
  • No charcoal, solid fuel barbecues or open fires.
  • No camping or staying overnight.​
  • No smoking within 10m of playground or beach.​
  • No kites.
