Barracluff Park is a sport and recreation park in North Bondi. Its inclusive play space offers a wide range of play for multiple age groups, with a play tower with slides and climbing nets, fire pole, musical instruments, puzzles for sensory and collaborative play and much more.

Barracluff Park features a half multi-use court with a tennis wall, netball and basketball rings and handball line markings.

Officially opened in 1910 and named after Alderman Barracluff of Waverley Council, the park is a favourite of local residents, families and dogs.

Public facilities

Play equipment: Large inclusive playground.

Sporting facilities: Turf fields for structured sports with lighting for hire.

Toilets: Refer to toiletmap.gov.au for closest public toilets.

Parking: Limited on-street parking. Mobility parking bay on Simpson St.

Pets: Timed dog off-leash area, except during sporting activities and community events (see map below).

Events & Hire

To hire a venue or sport facilities at a park or reserve, visit our online booking system.

For formal gatherings (e.g. weddings), corporate activations, events with larger groups or filming and photography, see Use of public spaces.

For commercial fitness applications, refer to Health & Fitness Training.

  • No smoking within 10m of playground.
  • No camping or staying overnight.
  • No charcoal, solid fuel barbecues or open fires.
  • Community court use prohibited between 9pm and 7am.
  • No commercial activities without Council approval.
  • Timed dog off-leash play permitted between 3pm and 10am daily; dogs must be on a leash at all other times – see off-leash map. Dogs are prohibited within 10m of the children’s playground and community courts (except on designated footpaths; assistance animals permitted). Dogs are prohibited on the sportsfield during organised sporting activities (training and competition) and during community events.
