Hirers are required to prepare and implement appropriate measures to ensure their staff or volunteers are aware of information on COVID-19, including when to get tested, physical distancing and cleaning, and how to manage a sick visitor.

Council is not the approving authority for COVID Safety plans and we are not the relevant authority to provide training on health-related matters.

The process of developing your own COVID Safety Plan or COVID-19 Safe Checklist and Risk Assessment will assist hirers and organisers to effective plan their events/meetings to ensure they are COVID Safe. Hirers are recommended to address the matters in the COVID-19 safety checklist as approved by the Chief Health Officer and published on the New Health website when completing their plans.
