Location: Margaret Whitlam Recreation Centre, Waverley Park, Bondi Road, NSW, 2026

How to book: To book a room at the Recreation Centre either email your request to or telephone 9083 8300.

Public transport options: The 380, 381 and 333  bus routes drop off on Bondi Road in front of the centre. The centre is a five minute walk from the Bondi Junction interchange.

Parking: There is limited on street parking around the perimeter of Waverley Park.

Indoor Sports Court

Capacity: 20  (indoor recreation classes limited to 20 people).

Dimensions:. Full hall - 34m x 26m, actual court size - 30m x 15m.

Equipment: Use of soccer goals, basketball hoops, netball posts, volleyball net, table tennis equipment and 50 chairs.

Available hours: Monday to Sunday 7am to 10pm.

Suitable uses: Indoor court based sport, plus table tennis and children’s multi sport activities.

Access information: Key-less entry system, hirer's will be issued with access codes at time of booking.

Community Room

COVID-19 Capacity: 45 (one person per four square metres) (20 people for recreational activities)

Dimensions: 15m x 12m

Equipment and facilities: 45 chairs, 20 trestle tables (1.8m x 75cm x 73cm), projector, projector screen, lectern, wireless microphone, microphone stand, laptop connectivity, iPod connectivity.

Commercial Kitchen - The Community room has a large adjoining commercial sized kitchen hireable at an additional cost. The kitchen comes equipped with a large gas oven, microwave, pie warmer, dishwasher, large double fridge and an ice making machine.

Available hours: Monday to Thursday 7am to 10pm. Friday to Sunday 7am to 12am.

Suitable uses: Formal dinners, low impact exercise classes, meetings and training seminars.

Access information: Key-less entry system. Hirer's will be issued with an access code before the use of the venue.

Access information: For out of hours access, a key can be collected from the Recreation Centre office during office hours 8.30am to 4.30pm Mon to Fri.
