Regular activities

The Recreation Centre plays host to a range of sports and recreation activities. The range of activities means there is something to suit all ages from 3 to 80 years.

Below are the activities currently available at the centre. To get involved please use the contact details provided for each activity. If you would like to run an activity yourselves then please contact the centre.

All activities take place in the indoor sports court unless otherwise stated.

All ages

Bondi Indoor Futsal League Age: All age
Men's and mixed, all age Futsal competition. Competitions run between 6.30 - 10pm on Monday and Thursday evenings. To register a team or as an individual. Contact Mark or call 0405 159 178.

East’s Basketball Age: All age
A basketball competition for all ages. Male, female and mixed teams competition Wednesdays 5pm - 10pm, Thursdays 4.30 - 6.30pm, Fridays 5 - 9pm and Sundays from 8am - 4.30pm. Register to compete as a team or an individual. Contact

Love Netball Age: Adults
Love Netball is an adult social netball competition on Tuesdays from 6.15 - 9.30pm. Register on the website to compete as a team or an individual. Contact

Bondi Raptors Floorball Age: 15 and over
Floorball is a growing sport similar to indoor hockey. Its great fun and great for fitness. Bondi Raptors are looking to attract new players of all ages. Sessions run Mondays 5 - 7pm. Come on down and give this fast and exciting sport a try. Contact

Under 19s

Triple Threat Basketball Age: All age
2 hours of intensive training in basketball skills. The sessions focus on shooting, ball handling and fitness, to give participants the competitive edge. Every Sunday from 4.30 - 6.30pm. Contact Henry on or call 0409 990 771.

Soccajoeys Age: 3-5 years
The most exciting and fun indoor soccer program around. A non-competitive, non-elite program that helps develop gross motor skills, self-confidence and coordination in a nurturing fun environment. Sessions run on Wednesdays 4 - 5pm, Thursdays 10 - 11am and Saturdays 8.30 - 11am in the indoor sports court. Contact Anthony at or call 0405 094 901.

Active Seniors

Active Seniors

Waverley Council are pleased to advise that the Active Seniors Program will recommence on the 18 January 2021. These great activities help improve both physical and mental health and are great fun. They are also a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friendships.



Council have completed safety assessments of our venues to ensure they are COVID safe and fit for community use. Council have implemented appropriate measures to ensure their staff and participants are aware of information on COVID-19, including when to get tested, physical distancing and cleaning.

Council's COVID Safety Plans have been developed for the return of the senior’s activities in accordance with Public Health Order. This includes:

  • A maximum of 30 people per class applies to recreation classes such as Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates.
  • Ensure the number of people in a facility does not exceed one person per 4 square metres of publicly accessible space in Greater Sydney.
  • Support 1.5m physical distancing where practical.
  • Temperature checks on entry.
  • Ensure hand sanitiser is accessible at the venue entry and throughout the facility.
  • Encourage visitors to bring their own water bottles, sweat towels and equipment.
  • Encourage contactless payment options.
  • Keep a record of the name, contact number and entry time for all staff, volunteers, participants, visitors and contractors for a period of at least 28 days.
  • Contact details must be collected for each person using a contactless electronic method, such as a QR Code or similar.

How to book?

No bookings are required and entry is offered on a first come, first served bases. There is a maximum of 30 people allowed per session.

It is advised you bring your own equipment needed for the class.

What are the costs?

Council have introduced a moderate fee increase for our Fitness & Wellbeing classes from January 2021:

Programs on offer:

Table Tennis Age: Seniors / Indoor Sports Court

The centre is equipped with 8 table tennis tables. Sessions run from 10am-1pm on Tuesdays and 10am-12pm Fridays (excluding school holidays). Entry and payments on the day are subject to maximum numbers.

Tai Chi Age: Seniors / Community Room

Tai Chi is a low impact exercise class that offers huge health benefits. The classes take place on Mondays from 11.30am-12.30pm in the community room. Entry and payments on the day are subject to maximum numbers.

Pilates Age: Seniors / Community Room

Pilates is a low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen and stretch the whole body with particular emphasis on postural alignment, core conditioning and breathing.
After just a few sessions you will be feeling stronger and walking taller. The class takes place every Monday and Wednesday from 9.30-10.30am. Entry and payments on the day are subject to maximum numbers.

Yoga Age: Seniors / Community Room

The strengthening and flexibility benefits of Yoga are well known. However, there are many more benefits to older adults from practising Yoga. It has been proven to improve sleeping habits, offset aged weight gain, improve mood and reduce anxiety. The classes take place on Thursday mornings from 9.15-10.15am and 10.30-11.30am. Entry and payments on the day are subject to maximum numbers.

Balance & Strength Age: Seniors / Community Room

Fusing Pilates, Yoga, Strength, Stretch and Balance class is a total body workout focusing on strength and endurance, postural alignment, balance and core strength while using the breath to centre the mind and body. Entry and payments on the day are subject to maximum numbers.
