Joel Beerden

Joel Beerden is a Sydney based painter whose practice deals with concepts of landscape and the sublime. Finding inspiration in weather patterns and atmospheric qualities in nature, Joel uses light and colour to parallel the spectacle of landscape with the drama of painting. Following his studies in painting at The College of Fine Arts, UNSW, Joel has undertaken residencies in Australia and the Netherlands, and exhibited work in numerous solo and group shows in Sydney and abroad.
