Jacqueline Butterworth

Jacqueline Butterworth is a Sydney-based painter, working largely with oils and in a representational style.

While studying painting at the College of Fine Arts, UNSW, Jacqui received early recognition for her art with prizes in the Mosman Youth Art Prize in 2006 and 2007. In 2010 Jacqui took part in her first residency at the School Creative Centre in Rye, U.K.

Since attaining her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2011, Jacqui has exhibited in a number of group shows in NSW, QLD and VIC and as a finalist in prize shows, including the Lethbridge 10000, Warringah Art Prize and Lloyd Rees Memorial Youth Art Award. She most recently exhibited in ‘New Surrealisms’ at Brunswick Street Gallery in Melbourne.

In 2015, Jacqui took a break from painting to carry out a self-guided art tour of the UK and Italy, where she took part in workshops with a particular focus on classical painting.

Now returned, Jacqui is currently working on her next projects that she intends to exhibit in 2017.
