Heidi Axelsen

Heidi is a Sydney based artist focused on site-specific public and collaborative projects. Following her studies in Sculpture at theNational Art School and Arts Management at Macquarie University, Heidi has been practising as an artist and also working in various roles in art, design and community cultural development. In 2011 she co-founded The Lot an art and architecture collective and is also partner in MAPA. Heidi has been awarded residencies in Silpakorn University, Thailand, Schumacher College in Devon, UK, University of Tasmania, Burnie and most recently at Australia House in Japan to develop a work for the 2015 Echigo Tsumari Triennial.
