Bronte Gully prior to ERAP adoption

Bronte Gully was a tip site for waste products for many years. Weed species were planted to stabilise slopes and avoid erosion, and the gully became a site for dumping of garden waste, which increased the number of types of weeds that flourish.

Council Adopted a 30-year plan in 2015 to restore the slopes of Bronte Gully. Early years of ERAP works were funded from Capital Works budget but are now funded by an operational budget.
