Public transport
Getting to Waverley by public transport is quick, easy and convenient. The Waverley area is serviced by an excellent multi-modal network.
Catching public transport saves you money and the hassle of finding a parking spot, reduces pollution and road congestion, and encourages people to incorporate active transport into their lifestyle.
Buses
The Waverley area is serviced well by frequent bus services. Information on timetable and routes is available from transportnsw.info or by calling 131 500.
Trains
Bondi Junction Station is the train station in the Waverley area. Bondi Junction operates on the T4 – Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra line. Most train connections can be easily made via Town Hall, Central or Redfern stations.

Community Transport
Randwick Waverley Community Transport (RWCT) provides transport services in the Randwick and Waverley area for people who are older, frail or have an illness or disability that makes ordinary transport difficult. This may include transport options for hospital and medical trips, as well as shopping and social outings.

Ferries
There are no ferries that run directly to Waverley. However, there are ferry services that run from Circular Quay to Rose Bay with connecting bus services to Vaucluse, Dover Heights, Edgecliff, and Bondi Junction.
Accessible Travel
The Accessible Travel section of the transportnsw.info site contains detailed information regarding travelling on NSW Public Transport for people with wheelchairs and other accessibility needs.
Mobility aids including wheelchairs, scooters, walking frames, prams and strollers can safely board and travel on most trains, buses, ferries and all light rail vehicles.
Assistance animals are permitted on all public transport in NSW.
Taxis and Ride Share
A range of taxi and ride shared services operate in the Waverley Council area. Council has recently installed pick-up/drop-off (PUDO) bays in prime commercial locations across the LGA. Visit our Smart City Transport and Parking Initiative webpage for more info.
Accessible Taxis
A centralised Wheelchair Accessible Taxi (WAT) booking service in the Sydney metropolitan area automatically offers the booking to the closest WAT regardless of network.

Regional Travel
Most Regional Trains and Coaches depart from Central Railway Station. Central station is five stops away from Bondi Junction on the T4 train line.
Airport Travel
Travel to the Sydney Domestic and International Airports can be accessed via trains and buses from Waverley area.
From Bondi Junction, catch the 400 bus, or travel by train to Central station to change to the T8 – Airport & South Line.
