Sustainability Rebates for Apartments Trial
Trying to make apartment buildings more energy efficient comes with the added complexity of navigating the input of many residents, strata rules and larger infrastructure. The Sustainability Rebates for Apartments Trial is a Waverley Council program to assist strata committees overcome these challenges.
Successful applicants receive:
Up to $5,000 in rebates for any of the following products or services;
- Common area energy assessments
- Installation of rooftop solar for apartments
- Electrification of centralised hot water
- Electrification of swimming pool and/or spa heating
Note, the assessment / installations must be completed and paid for by 30 December 2024 in order to be eligible for the program. As such, strata owners should only proceed if the organisation can cover the full cost of the works should the rebate application be unsuccessful.
A list of energy consultants who service the area and provide strata advice is available.
Eligibility criteria:
Depending on how the funding will be used, eligibility criteria vary – view the criteria on Rebately or read the Guidelines.
Apply:
Applications for the trial close 30 December 2024 or earlier if the allocated program budget ($20K ex GST) is exhausted before that date. Apply online.
If the trial is not right for you, consider our Building Futures strata program. |
