Solar Health Checks

Many solar systems in the Eastern Suburbs were installed over a decade ago and could be underperforming. Get yours checked for free, on us.
Eligibility
- Any solar panel on a residential or small business building located in the Randwick, Waverley or Woollahra LGAs.
- System must have a functioning communications link (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or 4G)
- System must be connected to the electricity grid.
- The following inverters or power meter brands are currently supported: Fimer, Fronius, meteocontrol/VCOM, SMA, Solar Analytics, SolarEdge, Sungrow, SwitchDin, WattWatchers.
What you’ll need
Before you start your application, please ensure that you have the below information and documents ready:
- your inverter brand
- additional power meters, if you have any
- your PV system size in kW
- the year your PV solar system was installed (if you know)
- your solar system monitoring portal login details
To support your application, you can also share pictures of your inverter, the tax invoice of the installation and an electronic copy of your system documentation – if you have these handy!
How to apply
We’ve partnered with Australian company Diagno, which provides remote solar inspections.
- Complete the online application form. You will receive a confirmation email.
- The Diagno team will check if your application is eligible.
- If your application is successful, we’ll reach out via phone or email to help you connect your system to Diagno.
- Your solar PV system will be monitored by Diagno for at least a month.
- We’ll supply a health check report featuring issues, insights and actionable tips to boost your panels' efficiency.
More information
Research from the Clean Energy Council shows that up to 20% of solar systems may be underperforming, unsafe or non-compliant.
The Solar Health Check project is a joint initiative by Waverley, Woollahra and Randwick Councils.
