Bronte Gully Ecological Restoration Action Plan 2015-2045

Ecological restoration work cannot be rushed and must follow the timelines set by nature.

Restoration work must be staged to avoid major erosion issues and loss of habitat. Typically, best practice bush regeneration recommends staging occurs in a mosaic pattern, with upslope areas treated and replanted prior to downslope zones, to avoid reinfestation of treated zones from weed propagules moving downslope into planted areas.

The Bronte Gully ERAP divides the Gully into Zones to help describe the site and stage works.

See Figure 2 below. It outlines 16 stages – so one stage will be commenced approximately every two years.
