Reconciliation Action Plan Advisory Committee

The Traditional Custodians of the Waverley Local Government area are the Gadigal (Cadi-gal), Birrabirragal and the Bidjigal (Biddigal) people.

Waverley is rich in Aboriginal cultures and history, and this should be celebrated and shared with the people who live, work in and visit our beautiful area. Council aims to do this through the implementation of our Reconciliation Action Plan.

In 2021, a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Advisory Committee was established to provide cultural advice, guidance, feedback and support around implementation and monitoring of actions, projects and commitments identified in the RAP.

Traditional custodians of the Waverley Local Government area, and Aboriginal people living or working in the region are eligible to become members.

The Committee Terms of Reference provide more information on how the committee operates.

The RAP Advisory Committee meets four times annually and new members are engaged every two years.
