Public Gardening

Public gardening is a fantastic way to get to know your neighbours, grow your own organic produce, rehabilitate an unloved site, increase biodiversity, regenerate natural areas, cool the neighbourhood and be in touch with the earth. Individuals or groups can work in small areas of a park, on a street verge, in a reserve, at a disused allotment, or around a cul-de-sac. We have a range of local gardening opportunities in public spaces to get involved with here in Waverley:

• Become a Waverley Community Garden member in Bondi Junction
• Join an existing shared garden group in various locations across Waverley
• Create a verge garden in front of your property
• Create a new gardening initiative in your local neighbourhood
• Celebrate the winners of our Waverley Garden Awards
