Public Gardening

Public gardening is a fantastic way to get to know your neighbours, grow your own organic produce, rehabilitate an unloved site, increase biodiversity, regenerate natural areas, cool the neighbourhood and be in touch with the earth. Individuals or groups can work in small areas of a park, on a street verge, in a reserve, at a disused allotment, or around a cul-de-sac. We have a range of local gardening opportunities in public spaces to get involved with here in Waverley:

If you are interested in creating a garden in a public space please contact the Coordinator, Local Connections on 02 9083 8916 or email publicgardening@waverley.nsw.gov.au Alternatively, if you are interested in other greening Waverley initiatives, such as gardening in your own backyard or balcony, school or business, see the quick links on the right-hand side of the page
