At Karen’s Family Day Care we recognise that family day care is the first stepping stone to a child’s education and may be their first out of home care experience. With this in mind we endeavour to foster a nurturing, safe, secure, happy and stimulating home like environment which meets the individual needs of the child and their family.
We believe that children should be provided with a stimulating and challenging play environment where they can learn and develop by exploring their world through play. They can learn to foster good relationships through interactions with their peers and educator. Engaging with other children of all age groups helps them develop emotional well being and connection to peers.
We believe that each child is unique and comes from a unique family environment, we value the input of their families and parents are invited to contribute to every aspect of the curriculum. We embrace and respect their values, beliefs, cultural backgrounds, traditions and believe that this contributes to the child’s feeling of belonging in the Family Day Care setting.
Karen’s Family Day Care provides a unique child care setting, looking after a small group of children allowing the child to develop to the best of their physical, mental and emotional potential in a fun, safe, environment where laughter and joy are encouraged.
