Bronte Surf Club and community facilities upgrade

In partnership with Bronte Surf Life Saving Club (Bronte SLSC) we will redevelop the surf club and community facilities building.

The proposed redevelopment will see the existing, dilapidated building demolished to make way for a new, sustainable hub meeting the needs of Waverley Council, contemporary surf life saving and the wider community.

The building is no longer fit for purpose and must be rebuilt to include;

• A balance of female to male facilities
• Family change rooms and accessible amenities
• Adequate facilities to train over 200 lifesavers per year and teach young nippers (currently almost 800)
• Fit-for-purpose lifeguard and lifesaving facilities including adequate storage and training spaces
• lifeguard facilities with change rooms, first aid, and lifeguard tower (to align with Surf Lifesaving Australia requirements and recommendations).

• administrative offices
• kiosk, gymnasium and function room
• training and meeting rooms and;
• The promenade will also be upgraded
