Council offers a discounted rate for Waverley residents who need overnight parking from 5pm to 9am.

About the permit

Discounted overnight parking is available for Waverley residents at the Hollywood Avenue Car Park in Bondi Junction.

The permit allows cheap parking from 5pm to 9am, seven days a week, any day of the year except Good Friday, Easter Sunday & Christmas Day (car park is closed).

Discounted overnight parking costs $195 per month (plus a one-off $37 for the access card), which is significantly cheaper than standard parking rates.

You will receive a parking access card which must be used each time you enter and exit the car park. You must exit before 9am or standard rates apply.

Avoid any additional parking fees
If you require access to the car park outside 5pm until 9am, and to avoid any additional parking fees, apply for standard car park pass ($365) which allows 24/7 unlimited access to site.


You can apply if:

  • You live in the Waverley local area.
  • Your vehicle is registered in your name, or your company.

You should not apply if:

  • You need parking or car park access outside 5pm to 9am.
  • You need 24/7 access to the car park for any reason. Your vehicle is over 2.1 metres tall.
  • Your vehicle is a trailer, caravan or other vehicle type not permitted in the car park.
  • You are not a resident of Waverley, this includes Waverley property owners living elsewhere.

What you'll need

  • Two documents showing that you live in Waverley.
  • A document showing vehicle ownership, or use if it’s a company car.

  • Driver's licence.
  • Lease agreement or bond receipt.
  • Utility bill.
  • Bank statement.

  • Current vehicle registration certificate showing your name – a screenshot from ServiceNSW must show your name and address (log into the website and not app).
  • Rental or hire vehicle agreement in your name.
  • Company vehicle letter from your employer.
  • ASIC statement for company directors.

Costs

The discounted overnight parking is $195 per month, plus a one-off $37 parking access card fee. This is a significant reduction on the standard rates.

How to apply

Once you have all your documents ready:

  1. Fill in the application form.
  2. Email your application to us at parkingadmin@waverley.nsw.gov.au.
  3. We will contact you with payment options.

You can also lodge your application at Council’s Customer Service Centre at 55 Spring St, Bondi Junction.

What happens next

We will review your application within 3 business days.

If your application is approved:

  • We’ll call you to confirm your application has been approved and explain how to make your first payment.
  • Once payment is received, we'll let you know when your parking access card is ready to collect from the car park office.
  • After your initial payment, you top up your account every thirty days at the pay stations located in the car park.
  • You must use your access card each time you enter and exit the car park.

Parking spaces are unreserved and availability is not guaranteed.

Parking hours

The discounted rate applies between 5pm and 9am. Standard casual parking rates apply outside these hours.

What if leave after 9am?

You’ll still be able to use your access card to leave, however you’ll be asked to pay the hourly or casual rate or the overstay period.

Can more than one vehicle use the same permit?

No. Permits are intended for a single vehicle only. Using one permit for multiple vehicles may result in the permit being suspended or cancelled.

Lost or damaged cards

Lost, stolen or damaged cards incur a replacement fee of $37.

Refunds

No refunds are available for unused or cancelled permits.
