Council clean-up collections

Council’s clean-up collections are for large, damaged household items that are too big for your bins. Residents can book two ‘Your Call’ collections per calendar year in addition to one scheduled collection.

Placing items on the street without a confirmed clean-up booking is considered illegal dumping, which may attract fines of up to $8,000.

Consider donating or selling items

Council’s clean-up services help reduce the cost and pollution associated with illegal dumping and are not designed to recover resources. While some items like mattresses, metal and certain whitegoods can be recycled, most go to landfill. Council is working to improve this. Before placing items out for collection, consider donating or selling items instead – The Bower Reuse & Repair Centre offers free home pick-up for quality goods.

Scheduled clean-up collections

You can look up your scheduled collection date here. No booking is required.
