Beach Parking Permits
Beach Parking Permits provide the opportunity for unlimited parking in Queen Elizabeth Drive and Park Drive at Bondi Beach and in Bronte Cutting at Bronte Beach.
Beach Parking Permits are available to all motorists and Waverley residents and ratepayers are eligible for a discount.
Parking is not guaranteed but on a first come first serve basis.
Waverley residents and ratepayers can apply for a 6 month or 12 month discounted permit. Further discounts are available with a valid concession card.
Non residents can apply for a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month permit.
All motorists can apply for a beach permit but only Waverley residents and ratepayers are eligible for the discount.
Permits can only be issued to vehicles with a gross vehicle weight of less than 4.5 tonnes and cannot be issued to trucks, trailers, boat trailers, caravans or any vehicle with a length greater than 6 metres. Unregistered vehicles are not eligible for a permit.
In person
- Pavilion Welcome Centre - 10am to 4pm 7 days including Saturday and Sunday
- Customer Service Centre – 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
Send completed application form and all supporting documents to parkingadmin@waverley.nsw.gov.au
Online
Council is currently developing an online application and renewal process in 2023.
There is no limit on the number of beach parking permits available to individuals or households.
Each vehicle must have a separate application with all valid supporting documentation.
Permits can only be transferred to another vehicle with the same owner. Permits cannot be transferred to another applicant.
Waverley residents and ratepayers can apply for a 6 month or 12 month discounted permit.
Non residents can apply for a 3 month, 6 month or 12 month permit.
Permits are valid from the date of purchase.
Beach Permit stickers must be displayed on the front passenger side of the vehicle. This allows unlimited parking in in Queen Elizabeth Drive and Park Drive at Bondi Beach and in Bronte Cutting at Bronte Beach without meter payment. Expired permits are not valid and should be removed or renewed.
Beach Permits do not allow parking on residential streets including Campbell Parade.
Yes, other drivers can use the permit, as long as they are using the nominated vehicle that the permit has been issued to. Permits are not transferable to other vehicles.
Lost, stolen or damaged permits will incur a replacement fee. See table of current permit fees.
