The returns of Councillors, designated persons and delegates disclosing interests are classified as ‘open access information’ under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (‘GIPA Act’), which means they must be made publicly available free of charge on Council’s website unless there is overriding public interest against disclosure.
Council has determined that there is an overriding public interest against disclosing the following information on Council's website:
- The full property addresses and signatures of Councillors and designated persons.
- The returns of certain designated persons.
However, the returns may be inspected in full free of charge.
