For the Waverley local creative community to connect and create at Bondi Pavilion

Waverley Council has now opened Expressions of Interest from artists, creatives cultural practitioners, creative collectives and not-for-profit arts organisations based in the LGA to be part of the new Local Creative Collaborations program.

Our Local Creative Collaborations program will support local artists to create and develop work, offering showings for local audiences and offering a positive contribution to the development of a vibrant artistic life at the venue.

This opportunity is available to local creatives at all stages of their practice from emerging to established. We recognise locals as any Waverley Council resident or any creative with a demonstrable connection to the Waverley community.

The Yalagang Room is located on the Ground Floor of the Bondi Pavilion, and is is a multi-purpose multi-artform community and creative space.

Individuals, groups or organisations interested in presenting or partnering on a creative project for this program are invited to submit an online application that outlines the project. Expressions of interest will open biannually and can be completed via SmartyGrants.

Priority will be given to local creatives and / or projects with a strong resonance to the local community and local audiences. Creative use that demonstrates a socially driven and community access-oriented approach or outcome will also be highly regarded.

Please provide appropriate images, sound or video files, technical specifications and delivery timelines to support your application.

This opportunity is appropriate for individual artists, collaborative practitioners, community groups, cultural groups, social history groups, community organisations, arts organisations, institutions and festivals.

Bondi Pavilion is an inclusive cultural space, welcoming applications from individuals and groups from diverse backgrounds including First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, all sexualities, genders, neurodiversities and access artists.

Applications are accepted from artists and collaborators of all career levels (emerging, established, professional, hobbyist, community groups etc).
