Dickson Reserve

Dickson Reserve has two distinct areas, separated by a steep embankment planted with shady she-oaks and fig trees. The upper park features a large dog-friendly grassed space and a hardstand with rings for casual basketball and netball.

The lower park has a large adventure playground, dominated by a circuit of rope challenges and a range of play items for kids of all ages, including a long slide, spinner, rockers and nature play areas. There is ample shaded seating, shelter and picnic tables throughout the reserve.

Public facilities

Play equipment: Large adventure playground.

Sporting facilities: Half court with rings.

Toilets: Refer to toiletmap.gov.au for closest public toilets.

Parking: Limited on-street parking. Mobility parking bay on Martins Ave.

Pets: Designated off-leash area (see off-leash map).

Events & Hire

For formal gatherings (e.g. weddings), corporate activations, events with larger groups or filming and photography, see Use of public spaces.

  • No smoking within 10m of playground.
  • No charcoal, solid fuel barbecues or open fires.
  • No camping or staying overnight.
  • No organised ball games.
  • No commercial activities without Council approval.
  • Dog off-leash play permitted within the designated area – see off-leash map. Dogs must be on a leash outside of this area. Dogs are prohibited within 10m of the children’s playground and the basketball court (except on designated footpaths; assistance animals permitted).
