Regular activities

The Recreation Centre plays host to a range of sports and recreation activities. The range of activities means there is something to suit all ages from 3 to 90 years.

Below are the activities currently available at the centre. To get involved please use the contact details provided for each activity. If you would like to run an activity yourselves then please contact the centre.

All activities take place in the indoor sports court unless otherwise stated.

All ages

Bondi Indoor Futsal League Age: All age
Men's and mixed, all age Futsal competition. Men's competition runs between 6.30pm and 10pm on Thursday evenings and the mixed competition is on Mondays 7pm and 10pm. To register a team or as an individual. Contact Mark or call 0405159178.

East’s Basketball Age: All age
A basketball competition for all ages. Male, female and mixed teams competition Sundays from 8am and 4:30pm. Training and fitness sessions, Wednesdays 5pm to 10pm. Register to compete as a team or an individual. Contact

Love Netball Age: Adults
Love Netball is an adult social netball competition on Tuesdays from 6pm to 10pm. Register on the website to compete as a team or an individual. Contact Kelly

Bondi Raptors Floorball Age: 15 and over
Floorball is a growing sport similar to indoor hockey. Its great fun and great for fitness. Bondi Raptors are looking to attract new players of all ages. Sessions run Mondays 5pm to 7pm. Come on down and give this fast and exciting sport a try. Contact

Coogee Volleyball Age: 17 and over
A high standard volleyball training session, open to both competition players and causal drop ins. Mondays 7pm to 9.30pm (April to Oct). Contact Marcos or call 0412 417 330.

Under 19s 

Triple Threat Basketball Age: All age
2 hours of intensive training in basketball skills. The sessions focus on shooting, ball handling and fitness, to give participants the competitive edge. Every Sunday from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. Contact Henry on or call 0409 990 771.

Love Netball Juniors Age: 6-9 years
Junior netball training to develop a positive introduction to netball.Tuesday from 4pm to 6pm. Contact Kelly

Ready Steady Go Age 2.5-6 years
Ready Steady Go kids is Australia's largest and most reputable multi-sport and exercise program for pre-schoolers. Our fun, physio-designed sport and fitness activities teach pre-schoolers the fundamentals of 10 different sports in a social, non-competitive, team based environment. Contact Peter

Soccajoeys Age: 3-5 years
The most exciting and fun indoor soccer program around. A non competitive, non elite program that helps develop gross motor skills, self confidence and coordination in a nuturing fun environment. Sessions run on Thursdays 9.15am to 11am in the indoor sports court. Contact Anthony or call 0405 094 901.

Soccajoeys Foundation Age 3-8 years
Proudly funded by Waverley council this program provides a tailored soccer program to children with additional needs, including Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, global developmental delay and rare genetic disorders. The Soccajoeys Foundation aims at improving children’s gross motor skills, co-ordination, cognitive development and social interaction. Sessions run Thursday 4pm-5pm. Let’s Activate Age 3-8 years
LET'S ACTIVATE is the newest sports program for children that uses MUSIC to instil within the child, gross motor skills as well as basic sports shapes to assist children in developing the foundation skills for many sports. Our developmentally appropriate curriculum provides the foundation skills for CRICKET, SOCCER, NETBALL, LEAGUE, BASKETBALL and other sports. Contact Hans at or 0415 983 635.

Active Over 50s

These great activities help improve both physical and mental health and are great fun. Its also a great opportunity to meet new people and make new friendships.

Table Tennis Age: Over 50 / All age /Indoor Sports Court
The centre is equipped with 8 table tennis tables. Sessions run from 10am to 1.15pm on Tuesdays and 11:15am to 1:15pm Fridays (excluding school holidays). Primarily aimed at the over 50's, but all are welcome. No bookings are necessary and bats and balls are provided. The cost is $3 for seniors with a pension card, $5 for over 50's and $10 for everyone else. Payment to be made on the day. Weekly coaching on Tuesdays are provided to help players develop their skills. Contact or call 9083 8300.

Tai Chi Age: Over 50 / All age/ Community RoomTai chi is a low impact exercise class that offers huge health benefits. Our experienced instructor Carolyn Hashimoto from Dragon & Phoenix Tai Chi welcomes students of all abilities. The classes take place on Mondays from 11:30am to 12.30pm in the community room. The cost is $5 for seniors per session or $15 for everyone else. Payment to be made on the day. No bookings are required. Contact or call 9083 8300.

Pilates Age: Over 50/All age/ Community Room
Pilates is a low-impact exercise that aims to strengthen and stretch the whole body with particular emphasis on postural alignment, core conditioning and breathing.
After just a few sessions you will be feeling stronger and walking taller. The class takes place every Monday from 9:30-10:30am. Cost $5 per session.

Yoga Age: Over 50 / All age/ Community Room
The strengthening and flexibility benefits of Yoga are well known. However there are many more benefits for older people. These include relief of physical effects of stress, promotion of deep breathing, improvement in balance and stability. Students of all experience are welcome. The classes take place on Thursday mornings from 9.15am to 10.15am  and 10.30am to 11.30am in the community room. The cost is $5 for the over 50's or $15 for everyone else. Payment to be made on the day. No bookings are required.
