Sustainable Transport

The recreation centre is easily accessed by bicycle or on foot using the shared-use path that crosses the park from Birrell St to Paul St. This path is on the bike route linking Bronte to Bondi Junction. Bike racks are located at the centre and at Waverley Council.

Waverley Park is serviced by frequent buses along Bondi Rd between Bondi Beach and the city, with additional bus routes on Birrell St and Old South Head Rd. It’s a pleasant 10-15 minute walk from Bondi Junction and the rail/bus interchange. Call 131 500 for public transport information and timetables. One mobility parking space is available behind Waverley Council Chambers. With limited parking available around Waverley Park, make your visit hassle-free by jumping on your bike, throwing on your sneakers or catching a bus.
