Bondi skate park

Bondi Skate Park in Bondi Park began life in 1991 as two skate ramps. In 2004, after extensive community consultation, the current skate park was constructed.

Volunteers

Bondi Skate Park is a source of great pride for local skaters and Waverley Council values the partnership with its volunteers in caring for this fantastic facility. Set up in September 2010, the Bondi Skate Park Volunteer Group supports the activities and assists in the maintenance of the skate park.

Main tasks include:

  • sweeping sand and removing rubbish from the skate park
  • removing grafitti
  • washing down the Bowl and other skate surfaces
  • removing gum, stickers and other adhesive
  • sealing the coping and/or Bowl area
  • repairing small holes and divots in the skating surface
  • keeping the surrounding garden area clean.
