Local Bowling Clubs will battle it out in the 10th Mayoral Lawn Bowls Cup to claim the prestigious title this Sunday, 21 January at Waverley Bowling Club.

Bronte, Bondi, Diamond Bay and Waverley Bowling Clubs will provide teams of 12 players with the format including three teams of four players from each club (playing across Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Fours).

The four clubs will be competing for the coveted Cup, with Bronte being defending cup-holders.

“Lawn Bowls has always been a sport with a strong sense of community. There are over 250 members between the Clubs which shows strong camaraderie.” Mayor of Waverley, John Wakefield said.

“The continued success of the tournament is a testament, I believe, of the Clubs commitment to their sport.   I’m looking forward to a bit of friendly rivalry between the clubs and I wish all the teams best of luck,” he said.

The competition kicks off at 9am with the winner announced at a presentation at 3.30pm.
