National Reconciliation Week: Art class with Billy Reynolds

When: Sunday, 1 June
Where: Waverley Library
Time: 1 – 2.30 pm
Cost: $5
Join us for a special art class with Yuin and Dharawal artist Billy Reynolds to recognise NRW. During this class, kids (& adults) will immerse themselves in First Nations artistry, as Billy guides you to create your own piece of traditional art.
Designed for kids aged 7-12, though adults are welcome as well.

Learn to Repair workshop

Where: Mill Hill Centre, 33 Spring Street, Bondi Junction

We're excited to host the second in a series of 'Learn to Repair’ workshops. At this session, you will learn how to mend shoes, sharpen knives, and perform basic woodwork fixes.

Bondi Bloomfest Closing Concert

When: 15 June
Where: High Tide Room, Bondi Pavilion

Join us for the final event in a weekend-long celebration of James Joyce’s iconic novel Ulysses and its ties to Australia and Waverley. Set in early 20th century Dublin, the novel follows a day in the life of Leopold Bloom and was once banned in Australia for its scandalous content. At its heart, Ulysses is a love letter to Dublin and a rich celebration of humanity.

Consultation open until 25 June.One of Sydney’s oldest houses in the Eastern suburbs, Bronte House is beloved by the community, who enjoy the beautiful property and gardens during our regular open days. With the current tenancy lease set to end early in 2026, we are seeking input from the community to explore options for expanded public access and usage of the property.
