What's on in Waverley in April
Plenty is happening to keep the kids busy this month, with a jam-packed Autumn school holiday program, Movies in the Park, and special music and market events for Youth Week. For you grown-ups, we’re hosting information pop-ups and paying our respects to veterans this ANZAC day.
When: 2 - 4 & 7 - 11 April
Where: Various locations and times
Come and see us in person at one of eight pop-up sessions, where we will provide information about Waste, Recycling and the Food Organics & Garden Organics (FOGO) Trial. Whether you want to know where to recycle batteries, how to donate furniture to those in need (from home) or learn more about FOGO and why it's important, we've got the answers you need.
When: Saturday 5, 12 & 19 April
Where: Various locations
Time: From 5 pm
Our first Movies in the Park screening may have been a washout (to be rescheduled soon), but don’t worry, there are 3 more happening this month. These much-loved family events are free to anyone, and no registration is required. We will serve free popcorn but encourage you to bring a nice picnic and a blanket to enjoy the movie.
When: 9 – 16 April
Where: Various locations across Waverley venues
Youth Week is an annual event that celebrates the achievements and contributions of young people in our community. Waverley Council supports a number of youth-organised events that offer people aged 12-24 the opportunity to showcase their talents and passions.
As part of our Youth Week program for 2025, we will be hosting Beach Bash ‘25, the Rising Makers Markets, and a Performance Workshop with Erth. We are so excited to bring you the best in music, arts, creativity and theatre from the driven and talented youth around Waverley.

Join us, with co-hosts the Bondi Junction/Waverley RSL Sub-Branch, for our annual ANZAC Day Dawn Service, where we will gather to remember more than 8000 Australian and New Zealand soldiers who lost their lives in Gallipoli during World War I and all servicemen who have given their lives in defence of our country.
We are also proud to support the Returned & Services League of Australia's North Bondi Sub-Branch as they conduct their annual ANZAC Day Dawn Service outside the North Bondi RSL.
