Mardi Gras event guide

The 46th Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is taking place in February and March, and Waverley is playing host to a bumper calendar of events throughout the festival.
The jewel in the crown of the program is the now-iconic Bondi Beach Party, back for a second time after a resounding success at Sydney WorldPride 2023. Waverley Council is proud to welcome back up to 15,000 people for the party’s second year.
With a range of other events taking place in Waverley over the Mardi Gras festival, there’s plenty of other options. From Bangers and Mash, a home cooked variety show at the Bondi Pavilion or Love Netball’s Mardi Gras competition night, to a jewelry making workshop at the Waverley Library – there’s something for everyone.
