Waverley Art Prize 2024 finalists announced

The Waverley Art Prize celebrates excellence across the local arts community and greater Australian contemporary Visual Arts sector. Commencing in 1986, the Waverley Art Prize has a long-dedicated history as a painting and drawing prize, cultivating, and supporting local artists with an illustrious alumnus of previous winners.
On Friday 5 July 2024 Waverley Council’s Mayor Paula Masselos will officiate the 38th Waverley Art Prize with the announcement of the $15,000 Open Prize winner and launch of the finalist exhibition in Bondi Pavilion Gallery.
This year’s Judges Julia Gutman (Artist), and Joan Ross (Artist) selected the 38 Finalists in the exhibition out of 419 entries.
The 2024 Waverley Art Prize Finalists are;
Joel Arthur, Peter Berner, Amber Boardman, Sophie Bray, Will Cooke, Brenton Drechsler, Ella Dunn, Steven Durbach, Jaye Early, Sarah Edmondson, Nic Fern, Tim Gregory, Simon Grennan, Blake Griffiths, Graziela Guardino, Taylah Hasaballah, Lleigh Hellier, Dylan Jones, Tracey Jones, Xavier Lane, Bronte Leighton-Dore, Belem Lett, Eric Lobbecke, Gigi Malherbe, Wendy Miller, Jasmine Mowbray, Lisa Patroni, Joel Picklum, James Rhodes, An Sheng, Elliot Sofaea, Dave Sparkes, Julie Vinci, Myles Young, Christopher Zanko
The exhibition continues until 18th of August and visitors are strongly encouraged to vote in the People’s Choice Prize that will be announced at closing drinks on Sunday 18 August 2024 at 3:30pm.
The Waverley Art Prize is presented in partnership with the Waverley Woollahra Art School, a much-loved Bondi institution providing quality arts education for children and adults.
