As we work together to stop the spread of the COVID-19 outbreaks occurring across Sydney, Waverley Council is reminding the community to maintain social distancing and limit outdoor gatherings to no more than 20 people in public places including our parks, beaches and coastal walks. If you are using the Bondi to Bronte coastal walk, please be mindful of maintaining a safe distance from others.

We ask that people maintain hand hygiene at all times, and if you are feeling even mildly unwell, please stay at home and get tested.

Our Council has been working hard to deliver a number of actions to date to help protect against COVID-19 including the ongoing monitoring by staff of our public places to remind people of the public health orders and the need to stay socially distanced. We ask that the community support our actions by complying with the relevant public health orders, including limits on gatherings in and outside of the home.

We have been working with businesses in our area to help get them operate in a COVID-safe way, which means something different for each type of business. We ask the community to ensure you follow the requirements of a business you are visiting, and these requirements should clearly visible to you upon entry of that space.

For community sporting activities that involve more than 20 participants, the organiser must have a COVID-19 Safety Plan.
