Small Grants Program
If you have a great idea that would benefit the local community, environment or streets but need some help to get it off the ground, Waverley’s Small Grants Program might be an option for getting the support you need. Before submitting a proposal for a garden on public land, please email astra.howard@waverley.nsw.gov.au.
Small Grants are available in three streams:
- Community and Cultural Grants Individuals, community groups and services, and sole traders and small business engaged in the creative industries, can apply in March and August with proposals that deliver identifiable social, cultural, and recreational benefits to the Waverley community.
- Environmental Grants Schools, child care centres, incorporated community groups and local micro businesses can apply in March and August with proposals that contribute to a sustainable local community and environment, and targets linked to Council's Environmental Action Plan (EAP).
- Creative Streets Grants Individuals, community groups and precinct groups, schools and local business can apply in March with proposals that contribute to improving Waverley's streetscapes.
- Organisations seeking subsidised use of Council facilities should apply separately through our Venue Hire Grants Program
