Waverley library

Waverley Library membership is free to all NSW residents. You can join online or in person at the library.

If you would like immediate access, you can join online using the above link. You will receive a temporary membership number and password that will allow you to immediately reserve items in the library catalogue and get access to the library’s digital collection and online resources.

To gain full access, you will need to visit the library in person. Don’t forget to bring identification with your name and current address, such as a driver's license or utility bill.

Please notify the library of any changes to your membership including change of name, address or contact details.

Members may borrow up to physical 30 items for a three-week period, including books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and iPads.

Items can be automatically renewed up to three times provided the item has not been reserved by another member.

Returns

To ensure all members can access library materials, please return items on time.

Borrowing privileges will be suspended until overdue items are returned. However, with the automatic renewal options, most people find it easy to return items on time.

  • Inside the library during opening hours
  • Next to the library entrance for returns outside of opening hours

Some items cannot be returned via the chute, including:

  • Library of Things items (iPads, toys, video games, etc.)
  • DVDs and CDs
