You can access the below resources using your library card number, which is the barcode number on the back of the card. Some will also ask for your password (PIN), which is your date of birth (DDMMYYYY).

eBooks & eAudiobooks

  • BorrowBox – An easy-to-use platform that allows users to download eBooks and eAudiobooks to a computer or mobile device. Includes a wide selection of titles, including the latest releases, best sellers and lots of Australian and New Zealand titles. View user guide.
  • Good Reading for Kids – Good Reading for Kids (ages 0-12) features author interviews, independent book reviews from picture books to middle grade readers and fabulous non-fiction books for primary kids. You’ll also find fun book related activities and teachers’ notes to download.
  • Good Reading for Young Adults – Good Reading for Young Adults (ages 12+) features author interviews and stories, independent book reviews, student book reviews and short stories, sneak peeks inside books, extracts and podcasts about books for young adults.:
  • Hoopla Digital – Free digital media service that allows you to borrow eBooks, eAudiobooks, eComics, music and more. View user guide.
  • Indyreads – Enjoy access to a statewide collection of over 10,000 eBook and audio titles by independent publishers, including Australian and international content, award winners, classics, a CSIRO science library, self-published materials and items in languages other than English.
  • Libby – Free app built by OverDrive, which lets users borrow digital content from the library. Designed to make finding, borrowing and enjoying free eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines easier than ever. View user guide.

eMagazines

  • Choice magazine – Magazine from the leading consumer advocacy group in Australia covering anything consumer-related, from saving money to choosing the best products and services. Aims to make shopping easier, test products and give advice about food, finance and health. In-library access only.
  • Good Reading magazine – Helps readers of all ages find interesting books to read from decorated and breakout writers around the globe.
  • Libby – Access a collection of popular digital magazines including both new and backlist titles with no holds, no checkout periods and no limits. View user guide.

eNews

  • PressReader – Search over 7,000 newspapers and magazines from more than 82 countries in 60 languages. Can be accessed via web or app. View user guide.
  • Gale One File: News – Access major newspapers online and search articles by title, headline, date or other fields. Includes News Limited and Nine Newspapers.
  • NewsBank: Global News from NewsBank provides access to almost 7,800 titles including over 200 titles as digital images from Australia and overseas. The digital image titles include: The Australian, The Australian Financial Review, The Sydney Morning Herald, The Daily Telegraph, The Times (London), The Guardian and New York Post.
