
Net Zero
Waverley is striving to achieve Net Zero Council emissions by 2030 and Net Zero community emissions by 2035 by providing infrastructure, education, financing support and leadership that reflects the community’s ambition for a safe climate.
For the community to achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas reductions by 2035, Council is providing targeted support for renewables, energy efficiency and low emissions transport, while leveraging incentives and advice to advance environmental upgrades across our built environment.
Council’s Net Zero goals outlined in the Environmental Action Plan (EAP) are as follows:
- Net Zero community emissions by 2035 (see graph)
- Net Zero Council emissions by 2030
- 100% Renewable Electricity for Council
