What is Second Nature?

Second Nature is Council’s call to action for achieving our community environmental targets. By encouraging our community to align personal behaviours and choices with positive environmental outcomes, we can all make a difference together.

Second Nature encompasses our education and engagement programs, celebrates community-led environmental action, and provides access to up-to-date information on Council programs, events, grants and much more.

Waverley is a unique and beautiful corner of the world, and we’re committed to make it even better, but the environment needs our care to continue to thrive. And Council cannot do this alone. Together with our local community, staff and businesses we are working to make sustainability more than just an occasional concern. We want to pro-actively tackle the climate emergency and improve our local environment. We want living sustainably to be second nature for everyone!
