BorrowBox access (eBooks & eAudiobooks)

Borrow and download the world's best authors and titles in eBook and eAudio format. Elegant, intuitive, and simple to use.
BorrowBox is an easy to use platform that allows you to select and download ebooks and eAudiobooks to your computer or any mobile device.
BorrowBox has a wide selection of titles, including the latest releases, best sellers and lots of Australian and New Zealand titles.

All you need is internet access and a current library card.
Open the App, search for Waverley Library and Sign in using your library card number and PIN (date of birth: DDMMYYYY)

The BorrowBox App allows you to download eBooks and eAudiobooks directly onto your smart device:

  • You can download eBooks and eAudiobooks directly to your PC or Apple Mac computer:
  • If downloading eBooks to a computer, Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) will be required, and you will need to create an Adobe ID. On first launch of ADE click on Help > Authorize Computer. On the following screen choose Adobe ID from the dropdown menu and enter your Adobe ID and password. You will now be able to download titles from the BorrowBox site directly to your computer and transfer to an eReader.
  • eAudiobooks can be downloaded from the BorrowBox site to your computer and listened to on any MP3 compatible media manager or media device.

Hoopla Digital access (eBooks, eAudiobooks, eComics)

Hoopla is a free digital media service available to Waverley Library members that allows you to borrow eBooks, eAudiobooks, eComics, movies, music,  and TV shows to enjoy on your computer, tablet, or phone – and even your TV!

All you need to get started on your computer is internet access and a current library card.

You can also download and access titles using the Hoopla Digital mobile app. App Store – for Apple iOS; Google Play Store – for Android; and Kindle App Store – for Kindle Fire.

Libby, by Overdrive access (eBooks & eAudiobooks)

Libby is a free app built by OverDrive, who also developed the classic OverDrive app. Both apps let you borrow the same free digital content from the library. However, Libby was designed to make finding, borrowing, and enjoying free eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines easier than ever.
You can stream books and magazines with Wi-Fi or mobile data, or download them for offline use and read anytime, anywhere. All you need to get started is a library card.All you need is internet access and a current library card.

You can also download and access titles using the mobile app Libby on your Apple, Android or Windows 10 device. For users wanting to transfer to their eReader, you will need to download Adobe Digital Editions. For more information, access the OverDrive Help and Technical Support page.

Access to a statewide collection of over 10,000 e-Book and e-Audio titles by independent publishers including Australian and international content, modern Award winners, Classics, a CSIRO science library, self-published materials, and items in languages other than English. 
To log in, go to "My Account", select "Waverley Library Service" and just enter your library card number and password (PIN) - or just use the apps!

Story Box Library (eAudiobooks)

Story Box Library is an educational website, created for Australian children to view stories by Australian authors and illustrators, being read aloud by fantastic storytellers.

LOTE (Languages Other Than English) Online for Kids (eAudiobooks)

This digital database allows kids to enjoy the magic of books in LOTE (Languages Other Than English), both in the library and at home.
Kids can also watch each LOTE title translated and narrated in English to help with reading and literacy development.

Sign up to Kanopy on-demand film streaming service with your Waverley Library card.

Up to 6 FREE films can be streamed each month, from any computer, television, mobile device or platform by downloading the Kanopy app for iOS, Android, AppleTV or Chromecast.

Studiosity

An online tutoring service offering just-in-time homework and study help to students in years 3 – 12, in English, maths, science, research and study skills.

Students connect online, on-demand to an exclusive, expert network of qualified friendly Subject Specialists, the moment help is needed after school hours.

Road to IELTS - General Training
