Maz Dixon is interested in the gap between mass-produced imagery and reality. As an artist, she contemplates on the disconnect between the landscape perceived in mass produced imagery to the landscape experienced in reality.
She explores this concept through her artwork by creating re-contextualised painted landscapes, referencing postcard images and other mass-produced source material. Maz Dixon produced a series of postcards encouraging locals and visitors to explore Waverley’s heritage and secrets.
