Library book clubs

If you're interested taking part in a lively discussion with other keen readers, then you may enjoy one or more of the Library's book clubs.

  • Queer Reads Group meets on the 2nd Wednesday evening of the month 6.30-8pm.
    We are calling all members of the local LGBTQI+ community and beyond, who are interested in joining Queer reads.
    Discuss queer lit, culture, graphic novels and much more in a fun and chilled environment. Celebrate diversity and difference and make new friends in the queer community.
  • Gen Y Book Club is held the third Wednesday evening of every month. Come along and enjoy the discussion with a snack and a glass of wine.
  • Waverley Reading Group meets the third Tuesday morning of each month.
  • Books, Movies & More Group. This discussion group meets in the morning of the fourth Friday of each month. Engage in lively conversation about your personal choice of books and movies each month.
  • A library supported Book Club Group meets every second Sunday of the month. Discussion is based on a different genre each month.
  • Ben's Book Club powered by the Libby app. Members of Waverley library can now read the selected title in Libby, before joining Ben Hobson online each month to meet the author discuss the book. As more and more Australian’s read and listen to books on their smartphone or tablet, we are pleased to announce that library card holders can now borrow the book chosen for Ben’s Book Club each month with no waiting or holds on the Libby reading app.
