Home Library Services
Home Library Service is free to eligible residents in the Waverley area. We can deliver to you a selection of items based on your reading, listening and viewing preferences. The service is also available to residents who are unable to carry their loans to and from the library and who wish to come in and select their own material. We also deliver to Residential Aged Care facilities and Retirement Villages. Visits are made fortnightly or monthly on a specific delivery day. Who can join?Residents who live in the Waverley area who have difficulty coming to the library or carrying their books home due to age or illness or disability. Full time carers of Home Library Service members are also eligible. Contact our Home Library Service staff about joining To join, fill in a membership form. Ask your Healthcare worker, community worker or carer to sign and return the completed form to the Library. Home Library staff will then contact you to discuss what you like to read, watch or listen to, and the day on which the items will be delivered. A personal profile of your likes and dislikes is compiled to help with selection of material for you. The service is started as soon as possible after the form is received and contact is made.
