March City Hub: Changes to parking

Changes to parking

Last year, Waverley Council began introducing a fairer system of parking fees and permits. I am happy to report that Council will now be switching off parking meters in Queen Elizabeth Drive and Park Drive North/Park Drive South, Bondi Beach, after 7 pm all-year-round. The same will apply to meters in Campbell Parade after 7 pm for the winter period (May–October) each year, excluding meters in Resident Parking Scheme zones. The changes are expected to come into affect soon. There will also be new 15 minute ‘drop in’ zones in Bondi Beach, Bondi Junction and Charing Cross.

The celebrations continue to Waverley Library with a talk by Paramedic author Sandy Macken and a concert on Sunday, March 10, by The Vallerstein Trio who will perform works by women composers.
