4 Sept: Vale Peter Moscatt, Marie Curtis and Peter McCallum.

Mayor’s column

From a childhood growing up in the east to a career in rugby league as a player representative to a Councillor and a Mayor of Waverley, Peter Moscatt was a friend, a mentor, a man of wisdom and of common sense. Thank you Peter for all you did to make the world a better place.

Marie Curtis was the President of the Friends of Waverley Library who have contributed greatly to the community over many, many years. Marie was also a broadcaster and office bearer with the Rose Bay War Widows Guild. She will be missed.

Peter McCallum lived in Waverley for more than 40 years and contributed in both professional and volunteer capacities in our community. This year, he and wife Audrey were named joint recipients of Waverley Council’s Best of the Best award, our highest accolade for volunteering, and their names appear on our Recognising our Leaders Walk on the Bronte Beach promenade. Thank you Peter for making such a difference.
