27 Nov 2019: Bondi Junction Cycleway and Streetscape Upgrade

27 November

Bondi Junction Cycleway and Streetscape Upgrade

Works have progressed on our Bondi Junction Cycleway and Streetscape Upgrade. We’ve now moved into a new section of Spring Street where Council is adding new street lights, traffic signals, furniture, garden beds and planting lots of new trees.

The cycleway is a state government initiative, but in accordance with our People, Movement and Places Policy, we are encouraging more people to cycle over driving to ease congestion.

I recognise that there has been some disruption, but we’ve been working with businesses and the community to try and mitigate that as much as possible by doing things like opening up our car parks earlier and providing free parking.

The current stage of works is due for completion in March. For more, visit waverley.nsw.gov.au/bondijunctioncycleway

Environment Survey

I encourage all residents to complete our quick and easy survey that will help inform our future sustainability programs and services. The Environment Survey closes on 1 December and is your chance to have your say about our precious environment. For more, visit https://haveyoursay.waverley.nsw.gov.au/environmentsurvey
