20 Feb: Waverley Local Hero Awards.

Do you know someone who works selflessly for the community? Someone who stands out because of their community work, generosity and commitment to others?

The Waverley Local Hero Awards recognises those in our community who are passionate and dedicated to making a difference, those who make Waverley a special place to live.

This year we have six award categories including Community Volunteer, Second Nature Champion and Young Local Hero for a person aged between 12 and 24.

This year, we are also celebrating our Local Hero Awards - Best of the Best Awards. Best is the Best is held once every four years and winners are recognised through a plaque on the ‘Recognising Our Community Leaders’ walk on either Bronte or Bondi Beach promenades.

Nominations for both awards close on Sunday 3 March. For information about how to nominate for each award, pick up a nomination form from Waverley Council Customer Service Centre, Waverley Library, Mill Hill Community Centre or Bondi Pavilion or visit http://www.waverley.nsw.gov.au/bestofthebest.
