- Bondi Festival returns this spring!
Bondi Festival returns this spring!
Sydney’s favourite all-ages winter festival will get a spring awakening when Bondi Festival returns from 26 September – 10 October.
Bondi Festival is an arts festival and all-ages adventure zone that erupts into life every year at the world’s most famous beach. Having postponed the July festival due to public health restrictions, the 2020 festival has been rescheduled and reimagined, designed to inject arts, culture and a little bit of joy back into Bondi this spring.
Over 15 dazzling days the program will feature an assortment of breath-taking performances, laugh out loud shows, immersive experiences, and out-there family fun.
This year’s festival will continue to showcase an incredible arts program, as well as welcoming back the cherished Bondi Vista Ferris Wheel and a brand new attraction, the Bondi Roller Rink. Each step through the iconic suburb will unveil new experiences with local businesses and storefronts transformed into temporary theatres for artists to amaze with mind-bending shows.
“It’s been a rollercoaster ride planning the Festival this year” said co-director Phil Spencer. “Because of this new world we're living in, the shape, scale and scope of the Festival is going to be different”
“But we know that the vibrant program we're bringing together for this year will be the much-needed pick-me-up people have been craving these last few months,” added co-director Rachel Chant.
The Festival program is set to be unveiled on Wednesday 26 August, 2020.
Bondi Festival is a cutting-edge performance festival with a family friendly entertainment hub. The Festival is the amalgamation of the annual Bondi Winter Magic Festival and Bondi Feast, reborn as a singular event celebrating and entertaining the people of Sydney, in one of its most iconic locations.
